Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Greedy as f---ers!

https://www.channelpartnersonline.com/2019/04/25/windstream-seeks-20-million-bonus-to-motivate-executives/

Read article above! While we get 1% raises & managers get nothing going on 3 years. The greedy a-- top 5 ask for $20.1 million in bonuses while in bankruptcy. Way to lead by example!

ALL the executives need to be outsourced - can easily find replacement workers in other countries that won't make more than $50,000 a year, and they will be able to perform the job better.

Maybe only need two or three outsourced workers that can do the same job as all these pathetic executives that are choking on their 'bonuses', as there wasn't much work these executives would do.

I wonder if TT discussed with his wife before deciding to try and steal a few more million dollars.

"Looks like the courts rejected the bonus request,"

Not quite. The US Trustee is filing objections to the KEIP and KERP requests by the Debtor (management). He is an employee of the court tasked with administering bankruptcy cases:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Trustee_Program

The judge will look at the Debtor's motion the plans be approved, their consultant's statement in support, this objection from the US Trustee and any other motions filed. I expect he may hold a hearing. After that, he'll make a ruling.

Or, possibly the Debtor will see the handwriting on the wall and amend the plan.

Looks like the courts rejected the bonus request, seems they agree it's a shady bonus plan and want proof these id--ts actually have a job offers in which they would leave Windstream. Maybe there is a God🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Please explain what metrics are being used to give them these bonuses? I exceed any metric this company puts out and I sure as hell dont see millions in bonuses. If this was any other company and the ceo ran it into chapter 11 they would be out on their a-- and someone else would be brought in to run the company.

Maybe Tony has his head in the sand...maybe he's trying to figure out what to do with all those millions. Tony is out of touch with all the people he is working so hard to replace. Hes just tweeting from his castle. Would love for him to do some skip levels with the little people but I'd imagine he's too scared for that along with all the other middle management.

No matter where these pathetic 'executives' will end up working after this, this will always be in their work history - how they purposely brought on Chapter 11, then ended up getting a bonus for doing nothing.

They deserve to be stripped of all their income and fancy houses, and thrown on the streets, and try to make it 'back' to the top to prove just how 'smart' they are. In other countries, these useless executives would be put in jail, or worse.

For the sum to 'motivate' the zombies, AI could be installed and replace these useless slugs, and it would save the company money down the road. The Board of mo--ns should be flushed down the toilet.

There will be massive layoffs in order for these cowards to get their maximum payout. They know this is the endgame for windstream and they are grabbing every penny they can before its over. Anyone still thinks things will turn around must have their heads up their butts.

Really! An incentive to be "motivated"!

Can someone remind TT that "WS is not a prison, the doors aren't locked. If you don't like it, you can leave"!

Oh well....business as usual. Everybody else gets quota increases, new order numbers to meet, etc.....all at the cost of working 6-7 days a week for 10-12hrs a day, and hardly ever see their families anymore because they need their job. But don't worry, you meet those goals, you don't get jack, unless you want to take another position within the company....no more raises or merit increases....isn't that correct TT.

But TT and crew get to run this place in the ground, get a pay raise and a big bonus, and now a huge incentive to meet certain goals, I wonder what those goals will be.

The leadership at Win are cowards. They talk about fiscal responsibility but lack the will power to heed their own advice. They continuously speak about how each and everyone of us make a difference. Maybe that difference only happens when it comes to actually doing work while they fill up their bank accounts. I would love for the link about the KEIP to be brought up on the internal channels and see if the leadership has she floppy taco to speak about it. I don't think the top 5 at Windstream have it in them to actually speak to it and would probably be deleted in hopes that nobody ever sees it. Guess the KEIP is what WINing looks like to the top at Win. If the top really cared about WIN? WINing would be giving raises to all the people who have been working hard for WIn without a raise or a bonus. The top need to answer.

Worst executive management team ever. Poorest strategic business planning. Most foolish technology selection, worst tactical implementation and they need to pay them more to keep up the good work? The top executives and the board need to be working for nothing at this point to attempt to fix this disaster they conceived and implemented. What a bunch of clowns.

I wonder how many of those receiving the motivational bonus have posted recently on Stream about being on the WINning team?

"ability to motivate their senior management to achieve desired business objectives" So, dollars should be tied to motivation to do your job? If this is true, what happened for so many years to employee raises? The employees (lower than the top 5 etc.) make things happen on a daily basis, and the individual contributors have been doing this for years without additional money. They also watched so called leadership (top 5) put their hands out during the same time; leadership continued to receive bonuses and dollars even though the company continued to fail.

Truly sad!

Read lower..it states:

HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

The Motion is granted as set forth herein.

The Debtors’ KEIP is hereby approved.

The Debtors are authorized to take all actions necessary to implement the KEIP on

the terms and conditions set forth in the Motion, including making any payments that become due

pursuant to the terms of the KEIP.

Relax. The court has to approve it first.

It should get shot down.

This is absurd and makes me sick! The employees are being let go systematically on an unknown but small scale to avoid being noticed as a result of the actions of the top executives, they do not deserve a dime. Unfortunately, no one should have much faith left in the court system in America, they are as corrupt as our politicians and the executives of this company. If the court was worth anything, it would see the truth about how this company has been bankrupted by a group of self-serving criminals who should be forced out and put in jail. However, they may not pay for their actions on this earth but one day, they will each answer to a much higher power than they are now.

Its the good ol boys cashing out. What responsible exec would take $20M in bonuses from a company they literally just drove into chapter 11? Stock price would be $.05 per share if not for the 6 to 1 reverse split a year ago. The company is worthless. There are no installs, if a customer has a choice between a company in chapter 11 and another healthy company who are they gonna sign with? Sales reps from other companies are damn sure telling them WIN is about to go under and not to go with them. The execs are cashing out, that much is clear. They stated this bonus is needed to "motivate" the execs while employees dont see raises or bonuses for years on end. The end is near and the job market is rather promising. Get out before you are competing with 10,000 other WIN employees for jobs.
