Gosh darnit, it's time to BOLDLY bring back Tim & Dave to show Hollywood how it's done! https://variety.com/2013/biz/news/mattels-bold-plan-to-take-control-back-from-hollywood-1200795906/

He's the absolute f'ing worst. He was only promoted so quickly because he was D-Wads puppet.

We were so happy when he was finally let go. So of course they bring him back.

Everything he learned, he learned at Mattel. No outside experience at all. So get ready for more fresh thinking!

He kind of sounds like he could be the first name of a famous masked k--ler and similar to the last name of one of the two remaining Beastie Boys.

scuttlebutt said he was offered the gig multiple times. throw enough money at someone, and they'll eventually say yes. What does that say about that person? what does that say about the company?

depending on how you look at things, when he was running HW, the Monsta Jam license was 'not renewed'. When he ran Toy Box, the DC license was also 'not renewed'. Coincidence?

That was exceptionally awkward. I assume it was a complete lack of emotional intelligence and inability to read the room.

Remember that time during a Global Town Hall when the entire Senior Leadership team had been assembled on stage for some sort of Q&A session with the then newly appointed CEO YK, everyone seated in a long row of chairs, except for JH who, for whatever reason, refused to sit down during the entire event. It was one of the most inexplicably awkward things I've ever seen. Anyone know what the deal was?

I can't believe he actually came back. Wow. Does he have no self respect? I guess he couldn't make it in the real world, so like Pavlov's dog he came back to get kicked some more.

Simple minded is right.

He's like Richard Gere sobbing in An Officer and a Gentleman - "I got no where else to go!"

Just - - wow.

JH. They searched the world over only to discover the right person is someone they drove out. And yes, the whole culture of Mattel operates on the premise of attracting and/or retaining yes-men. That's how tricky d--k keeps surviving. How many people has he thrown under the bus and how many businesses does he have to trash?
