Are the level 3 techs. getting laid off proportionately as the Centurylink techs in your area ?

L3 guy, have you even seen contractors work on FTTP? Obviously not. Because they don't give a damn nor do you guys. I do hope L3 does go to sh*t in the future.
you need to keep this in mind Level 3 is a Long Distance company so when a level 3 tech makes a cross connect the company makes at a minum of $300.00 TO A MAX OF $2500.00 + DEPENDING ON THE DISTANCE AND THE SPEED. The century Link techs make the same cross connect in the local market the company makes if lucky $150.00 a mouth. both techs are paid around the same range. and with ATT and Comcast feeling the loss of TV viewership pusshing more compition in the market higher speed lower rates. you explane to me how the company can survie paying you $30+ / hour.
The first round of cuts were mainly legacy Qwest in our area and if not cut offered positions that required moving to another state. Then if you moved BAM you were gone! We had a strong trust between techs and management but now only L3 management which don’t trust each other never mind their employees.
They must be lower compensated.
You will notice in my question I asked if they were being laid off PROPOTIONATELY. I'm not bi-ching just asking a simple question. I can't go back to work because I got out of there. I couldn't deal with the Level3 mindset. I was in the business over 30 years and have never seen anything like the way they operate. It's not good. That's why I retired a little earlier than I planned. Good luck everyone.
There are five times as many Legacy CTL techs as Level3 techs. when there are reductions of course there will be more CTL workers affected. Quit your b--ching and get back to work.
Level 3 techs will eventually be the only techs.
Level three techs, Contract, non union, no investment by the company, ya think they will get rid of them?
We have not lost any L3 techs in our area. We had a feel good meeting some time.ago with Bob Novak when he was still in charge and he claimed the L3 techs were all good.
who knows no mention of layoff on their section here and I couldn't tell you if we even have ANY L3 techs in my area?
