Occidental is far from the worst place to work for - and yet I see so many people leaving on their own every week. I'm afraid it's going to turn into somebody leaving every day very soon, the way things have been going.
So what's happening? What am I missing here? Am I the only one who's happy with his job here?
Maybe the first statement in your post isn't accurate, OP?
It's possible. Most E&P companies have undergone massive transformations in the wake of the shale revolution, and the end result has been spineless corporations that kowtow to Wall Street's (generally stupid) requests. Not surprising that a lot of folks are fleeing to the smaller, private outfits that make their own decisions. If you don't know what I'm talking about then I would just be grateful, cause you probably have a great thing going to enjoy your job so much.
