It’s obvious by now that layoffs are happening without announcement and in a stealth manner, so can we estimate how many people were laid off since the bankruptcy started? I imagine that more people were let go than it meets the eye by now and we would be quite surprised if the official numbers came out ( They won’t come out).

8-9 CADe folks outta here, 2 weeks notice. getting replaced by contract labor. Prob more elsewhere.
Well they butchered that because there is kinetic BY Windstream all over the place billing ect. Been better to have a clean name change and break. Maybe SOME people would be fooled then at least.
Windstream will change the name to Kinetic, just like charter went to Spectrum, different name but still will be the same sh--ty service. All you f---ers s---!
windstream serves the best kool-aid and sh!t sandwiches.
To the person who said the person longer there should not post, well they probably still have friends there And have warned us all. If you don't have resumes flying, you are a fool
The person in the first reply (YGdMQBG-wnt) is correct with regards to WARN notices. We do layoffs, we don't talk about layoffs, we never give numbers when a layoff happens. It is a coordinated effort in management. They've been asked point-blank about it on their conference calls, and they tap dance around it like a politician.
Now, none of us know what's in store for the company. But, we do know it's a huge sh!t sandwich and we're all gonna have to take a bite.
Below, get a life! This is for people who still work here. The answer to your question is nobody knows. They are doing small numbers so nobody really knows. You are like the divorced family member who comes along to stir up drama. Don’t you have something better to do, like your job at your company.
I don’t know why these questions keep getting asked. You will never know the answer, and know one else knows either.
There will never be a layoff of over 500 at once within 30 days or a location completly closed. This is done to avoid WARN notices and public notifications. Theres a reason Windstream hasen’t had a WARN notice since 2015.
The stealth layoffs are the only way they will be done until they start selling off parts of the company or when they have an excuse under the ‘restructuring’ umbrella announcement. There will probably be one big one at that time.
If you are not part of the ‘growth product’ business, I’m not sure why you still work here unless it’s out of fear.
I got out 2 years ago because I could see this coming from a mile away and decided to be proactive. I come here to witness the dumpster fire, and because I still have friends that work there.
