Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

How much did acquisition confusion affect the ILEC side?

Interesting reading in the other threads about the problems and mistakes integrating the hodge podge of CLECs Windstream acquired with all their different systems and equipment.

Question: how much of this spilled over into the ILEC side?

Also: prior to the CLEC purchases, Windstream bought some ILECs - were there many problems integrating them?

Not really an issue with ILEC m&a. Standards for the next and current generation was set and followed for the majority regardless of legacy footprint. Not all but most. Now insert field tech comment on how company x was the bees knees...

No problems. Very different back office systems than CLEC.

I think most of the Ilec was rebranded SMB.
