Watson was a clever play to distract people from IBMs aggresive patent trolling in the healthcare space. What was pitched as r and d for,real world products was nothing more than a well funded grab for every idea they can lay their hands on to fatten the patent portfolio that will be spun out as the rest of IBM is chopped up and sold for sc-ap. We will all pay more for healthcare thanks to their greed.
This really shows a lack of execution. IBM like most large organizations can afford to hire smart folks. IBM even spent 3 give or take billion on some innovative startups in healthcare. When you can’t get the smart folks who work for you to get products out the door, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. The smart folks didn’t take their dumb pills, but rather the management team didn’t understand or perform the execution part (make products we can sell) of the play that they were assigned. It’s time for wholesale change at IBM, and it starts at the management level. They are the ones not executing

Oh that Ginni! She became suspicious Of Watson in 2014 when it forecast the best way to have a baby was to band 9 women together and deliver it in a month. She invested for 5 more years “just in case” She is still pondering the new Watson suggested rebranding “I’ve been mislead” YES I know it’s silly, but considering the boards response to first quarter earnings, humor is all that is left to hit them with

Ginni spent billions on Watson AI and Watson Health. All for nothing. She is desperate for growth. Red Hat is her swing for the fences bet. How sad IBM has come to this level where they overpay for growth opportunities. Cannot find organic growth as they are inbred. Sold my stock years ago and it was a good move. She should be fired and taken to court for negligence. Along with the BOD who s ancient and does not understand IT.

I got a health assessment from “Watson” in the mail last year. What a joke , it was all based on my doctor visits . Yep , you have high blood pressure, need to drop your weight. More snake oil from IBM .
