Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Stepping away from HANA

The level of people they cut at from HANA at SAP, from Lukert to rock stars like Thomas Jung, signal a real step away from HANA to anyone who is watching. They also made S4 much to difficult for established SAP users to migrate to, it's way too much work and disruption, with Fiori pretty much dead, whats the benefit? Now with SAP clearly reducing staff and support for their on premise solutions and their already deteriorating OSS support which will get that much worse, why risk an S4 conversion?

Not sure about other locations but my severance states I can rejoin but I will have to repay my severance if I join within 2 years as long as hiring manager approves. Obviously you can switch positions before you get your severance payout, then you keep your current contract.

How many laid off employees are able to "rejoin" SAP? You must not be aware of the 2-year wait period imposed by HR - you are not eligible for FTE or Contractor positions. Fake news!!

FYI, many of the laid off people have rejoined SAP.

@yez - shouldn’t you be working?

You have so much free time to search and comment on boards.

Maybe they laid off the wrong person.
