Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

COP traded as a stand-alone E&P company as of May 1, 2012 (7 years). During that period:

Share Price (closing price):

May 1, 2012: $56.51 per share (market closing price)

April 15, 2018: $66.34 per share (2.3 percent calculated average annualized growth rate)

Production (MBOEPD):

2012 Average: 1527 MBOEPD

1st-Half 2018 Average: 1,216 MBOEPD (a decrease of 20.4 percent)

Proved Reserves (Billion BOE):

Year-End 2012: 8.6 Billion BOE

Year-End 2017: 5.0 Billion BOE

Employees:

Year-End 2012: 16,900

June 30, 2018: 11,200

Shareholders have not been treated well whereas the CEO total compensation during this period has been in excess of $100 million dollars. Questions need to be asked. Maybe it is time for a change. Maybe need to let someone else ride the pony.

WTI Crude oil price end April 2012 was $105/bbl.

WTI Crude oil price April 2019 is about $64/bbl.

This might have some bearing on oil & gas company stock prices.

Go to Bigcharts.com, compare COP vs CVX, or XOM, or BP, or RDS.A, or APA, or APC (CVX premium!), or DVN, or OXY, or MRO over the May 1 2012 to Apr 17 2019 time period.

Would some prepare a Power Point slide for upcoming analysts meeting and shareholder meeting.

Why is BoD not holding management accountable?

Why are analysts not holding management and BoD accountable?

Why are not shareholders holding management accountable?

Why is management receiving excessive compensation?

Why is management still in-place?

Maybe it IS time for a change. Maybe you should submit a stockholder proposal at the next annual meeting. You’d get my vote.
