Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

$200 million savings before end of Q4

Looks like AMER is getting a kicking (not heard of it in other regions).... $200 million in "savings" before end of Q4.... heads already rollin' (because there are no other "savings" to be made)

GIS I assume.

That mass layoff end of March 2019? Its happening...

This isn't a sh1tpost either before anyone says it.

Its this mate:

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/03/26/dxc_security_spending/

All of the names I couldn't tell you on here and in that article.

The only thing that article is missing is that there is another $140m coming off of places other than Security.

I have an idea for ML. WFR all of the L3, L4, L5 Managers. We dont need them for the simple fact they cant do anything for the employee....Workday can do everything a manager can do. All they can do at this point is rack up payroll expense for the company. There are thousands world wide they can gut from payroll. Dont fire the employees doing the customer work....fire the managers that provide absolutely no value. There is my contribution to the ML money train. With that he can afford another vacation home.

Australia has DC’s closing where migrations to other DC’s are not happening. Pushing our customers to MS AZsure or AWS. I know if I was the client , I would look for an experienced company to help with the migration, not DXC that is new to all of this

AMS region has to find $65m in cost savings in Q1 FY20 alone. UK&I a similar amount. Is DXC being slimmed down for sale or is someone Mandy the P&L?

@Y9McxtL-2wak We have been in awe since they gave us our new numbers and moved the target yet again to an extreme. How unrealistic.

Not going to be achieved. And now budgets are out for next year. The margin expectations are more unrealistic than ever. Aspirational budgets once again to avoid pay out of any possible bonuses tied to financial achievement. Except for ML of course. He gets bonus no matter what.

This might turn out to be true - or not, that’s exactly why this is called a rumor site. And @twv explained why he/she couldn’t give specifics. Besides, cannot name names here, against the site rules. Only public persons (those whose faces you see in the news) can be named.

IF as you say "but this wasn't a secret email or anything - this was a call spelling this out to an array of managers in the US." , then you can give an hint. Who would know it's you? GIS say's nothing , Is it Delivery , Platform support teams, Sales, accounting? we know big savings are coming from closing down L-CSC Data Centers and moving them to L-HPE ones

@Y9McxtL-aej : "How are you going to reach that target this Q?"

I am guessing the answer is that the leaders of AMER GIS won't.

Which will result in them getting the flick too.

But they will try.

Remember what we all learnt from the Steve Hilton legal action - that Mikey likes to drop this sort of stuff "to test loyalty" and that many objectives are impossible to achieve deliberately!

Our account is already down 100 heads due to folks leaving and ML refuses to issue us tokens for replacements. Looks like we just stand to lose more and can no longer deliver. We all wear 3 or 4 hats and our line staff all work salaried OT. No wonder our people keep quitting.

Poor clients.

It’s not BS. Seeing people RIFed almost every day now. The environment is nerve racking and very tough to keep the wheels on the bus. How much did Mikey make last year?

How are you going to reach that target this Q? I am sure folks are going to be fired, but that number is not realistic by April 1. Tell me what I am missing.

I can't say any more than that without giving away where exactly it came from - but this wasn't a secret email or anything - this was a call spelling this out to an array of managers in the US.

I'd love to tell you exactly where it came from, but of course on a public forum Mikey's backlash would be brutal.

However, with that number, the effect is going to be easy for you see.

Thats probably 1200+ jobs btw based on the "book" (FTE) cost of employees being $165,000 (certainly that used to be the figure used in CSC - and no, thats not your salary!)
