So basically, the old company would pay out unused hours. Meaning any remaining associates will be unable to actually take any time off before 2020. Sigh.
It used to be anything more than a 10% reduction required you to sign off. It was NOt considered a comp offer and if you didn’t take it, you could take a severance and then unemployment. But I’m sure rules no longer apply in today’s scenario.
Take advantage of the negative press sears has with all. There will be sympathy. Plus I have to imagine all in HR are overwhelmed and won’t fight for you not to have UI
Store Manager will key you in as a rejected job offer. You think Eddie is going to leave a few thousand dollars on the table? SMH
Depends on the state you live in. I wouldn't get my hopes up though.
True if the HR responsible for that task is gone, no one will object.
There will be no one left in the company to contest it. Go for it.
You may file Uunemployment Insurance only if your pay gets cut enough to warrant eligibilty for UI. Otherwise it goes down as a turned down job offer. No UI pays for that. Good Luck with that.
