Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

It’s too late to rescue Pioneer

The company has been run into the ground. Brown noser 20 years olds are made managers and terrorize experienced staff with their egos. Ideas are not encouraged anymore. They want us to follow a “process” that changes weekly. Scott is a great leader of the past but unfortunately all circumstances have changed. It’s too late to rescue Pioneer. Sale to a major is the best thing for the employees.

Bumped from an older thread for being on point. Original poster is @XJcHhuu-qsnf.

There will be more major consolidation in the permian...super independents will need to continue to combine and go the manufacturing route like the majors in order to make it. Good thing is we have very little debt so we are attractive from an merger standpoint. I think Mr. Leach from Concho will soon be Sheffield's boss! That's great....because Leach left parker and parsley to take on Concho....I bet Joe Parsley wishes his daughter had married Tim.

Because we DON'T have the best rock. The delaware basin has the best rock. The midland basin is second rate compared to that side. That's why no one talks about us anymore.

If we have the best Rock. Why are majors not looking at us.
