Thread regarding Sears layoffs

My State Senator replied back re: Severances owed

If Eddie thinks he is going to get off Scot free from Severances owed, he isn't off the hook yet. We have skin in the game now. If you are owed money, then fill out a form to your state senator. Make that complaint!

OP @Y8OskbK

Your senator can't do diddly about severance

@1yrv

You are absolutely full of b. s. id10t - you do executive offers when you can't even SPELL correctly .... The term is: enforceable --- you weren't even CLOSE

@1tdl @fqm

Are the only posters even remotely correct - you got severance offer, and it was cut-off, you best file a claim

If your severance was cut off prematurely, as mine was. You need to log onto PrimeClerk and re-file by 10 April, 2019. Make SURE to attach your Severance Offer letter to your claim. Failure to do these two things will invalidate your claim. No State Senator can help you in BK court.

@1yrv You are 100% correct. Unfortunately, even though this has been pointed out before on this site numerous times, people still think they are entitled to and will be receiving severance. Insane.

The only way severance is inforcable is it is in your offer letter. I did a lot of executive offers and those are the only ones with guaranteed severance so good luck .

People are still focused on severance? Your State Senator can't do anything. Only the bankruptcy court can and severance is at the bottom of the list. By the way, the old Sears is administratively insolvent and they are the ones who would be paying severance. You would be better off looking for a new job with an employer who cares about you.

I guess I'm screwed... My state senator is too busy fighting for the rights of felons and illegal aliens to vote and ensuring he--in addicts have a safe place to shoot-up,...
