Mattel needs leadership before anything else - it’s too far gone to think about how is used to be. But as look as people like the good man are allowed to stay it’s clear there’s no intent to make the leadership changes needed. All those that came in wanting to help Mattel out of this have been allowed to leave - leaving the failures behind.

could this be a member of the once powerful “velvet mafia?”
Leadership? Old news, but they recently - blindly- promoted one of the worst people to work with. He went from running a small part of a large group to running the almost the entire group. Smooching the behinds of his bosses while defecating on everyone else. Quick to take credit for others work and quick to throw others under the bus. He's lucky people are too afraid go to HR in fear of retaliation. Leaving details and names out, but you'll be able to figure it out. Besides, this pretty much describes most promotions . Word has it his reputation is slowly catching up to him. Time will tell, he'll prolly get another promotion next year.
Mindless know nothing Losers.......
Touché, SG! 😂
Awww, someone deleted my Sprinkles Cupcake comment... 😢
OP, you want comments??
I’ll give YOU comments!
“Mattel needs leadership before anything else”
NO! Mattel needs employees that can pen a COHERENT sentence, damnit!
“....about how is used to be”
“But as look as people like....”
WTF??!!!
At least Scotty can write well! I’ll say that for him.
Mattel has history of promoting bullies, incapable executives and people well beyond their capabilities. The lose of top line revenues, market share and profitability are proof of this. When is that next new movie memo coming out? The previous memos/ press releases have not pumped up the value of the company! Smoke and mirrors.
Well Good M is not in the design/dev lines anymore, if you didnt know. He pulling strings in different depts.
There is a big dog may take us Down before you know it. They are feeding the minions great lines while we sink.
The Culture club is trying to raise low moral, but seeing everyone over Sr. Director in a plush seat brings everyone down. Some of the garbage is being flushed but too slowly.
There are whole lot of amateur pros that have been VP;d too soon, that will also add to the flames of failing and bad decision making. They just elevated all the YES men and brown-nosers.
The say run your part of Mattel as if your business or an entrepreneur, but as a entrepreneur I would not immediately pay myself a CEO's salary. I would make sure my business is profitable or dump it and start something new. Which I think is the case that is happening here.
YK is trying to dump Mattel as flailing product business into a IP movie business.
We just have to wait for his first c-appy movie and he will be ousted.
