I'm tired of losing sleep every night because I'm worried about layoffs and whether my job will still be there tomorrow or the day after. This needs to end, now.

When will it finally end? = NEVER! They do this every 2 years after another acquisition. SAP is not led by a Tech Guy just a smooth talking New York Sales Guy. Innovation is dead at SAP and they will continue to layoff the loyal and brilliant minds that helped grow this company. Competitors will take full advantage and rule with customers. So much for Bill's chatter about it's all about the people, it's not about the people. It's about the $$$. Qualtric's was the latest waste of $$$ in additions SAP has to pay for the lawsuit by Dominion Group that they will soon lose from shady business by leadership.
The entire thing is a farce. It's a cost cutting measure, no matter how they try to spin it. If they truly were strategic instead of being top down numbers, they wouldn't have laid off a mere 6 people spread across a variety of teams in CoE North America.
There will be more layoffs in the US likely this or next week as Voluntary Early Retirement offers were due in by today, so they'll know how many didn't accept and then they'll move on to involuntary layoffs. Then there's the time to extend these offers in other countries (including in Germany where voluntary layoffs only and either the person or their manager can reject), then to hit the expected numbers they'll have to layoff more in other regions.
Less than 5% of the workforce will be impacted. The sky is not falling.
When everyone is in charge, you can rest assured that one is in charge. Too many green and inexperienced young people who all have different bosses. This allows these overpriced gurus to pursue their personal agendas and not focus on getting the company into the Managed Services market that it needs to be in to successfully compete.
It's time to "honestly" develop "Trusted Agent" relationships with all customers and move away from myopic pure ERP Sales. Sales force has to be fairly restructured to support the Managed Services market.
BTW, our Customer base doesn't want HANA, specifically S/4, because they don't want to pay such high fees and do a complete re-implementation.
Oh, well...
The business units own the communication process, not HR.
Wait...I thought it was only 1 day (Last Friday). Are layoffs still happening?
HR will soon be replaced by AI chat bots.

Mate, it's 4,400 people! Be patient! Your turn will come soon!
Exactly. I would fire the entire Human Resource department. This lack of clear communication, making the employees worries for their future several days. A monkey could do it.
This whole process should have done in a day or two. Now i don't know when i can feel myself safe again and start living again, making long term financial commiments.
