Okay, so I know that some people on here have said that it’s gonna take “a while” for the vendors to get back on board since the deal just closed. But does anyone have a more concrete estimate of when things should be back to normal, especially in the grocery section?
Most people here have only been discussing hard goods and softlines, but not consumables.
My store is busy, but sales and traffic at my particular location are heavily dependent on groceries. To back up this point, when the trucks stopped coming the aisles looked like Venezuelan supermarket shelves within days. Traffic has dropped to a point where it’s noticeable to the naked eye. Our coolers which used to be full of milk, eggs, butter, cheese, bacon, cream cheese, etc is now just endless gallons of water and random drinks. We have no bread, cookies, juice, cereal, Coca Cola products, or general grocery. Theyre replaced with the usual suspects of water, tote bins, paper towels, and toilet paper. We’re still getting Pepsi products and Frito Lay chips.
I’m just worried stores are gonna close because of this... anyone got a timetable here?
