It's bloody over there, massive layoffs on the services side. You can bet there will be huge hits in GBS soon, the two are correlated and our GBS SAP practice will have massive hits IMHO.

They have generous severance over there in SAP - know a guy who got axed in the Bay Area and he's got like 6 month severance pay (granted he was with the company long time and ready to retire) - at 13 years tenure you are getting 6 mo pay which is a sweet deal and they are not putting caps - so 26 years with them will give you a year of severance pay, pretty sweet deal if you ask me... so if you are director level ready to retire, let's say 25 years with the company at 300K salary they you giving you 300K just to walk, that's a sweet deal.
90 day notice with 30 days severance. That is the standard IBM “we don’t want to playing in this business anymore” offer. If you are not making an assigned number then the offer is 30 days severance with 2 weeks notice.
Hope severance packages similar to them if only choice left is to layoffs
