From Zacks this afternoon. It sure looks like HW division (especially Storage) and weaker portions of TS&C are getting the focus

The Zacks analyst thinks IBM’s improving position in hosted cloud, security and analytics bodes well for investors. The RedHat acquisition, aimed at enhancing its hybrid cloud platform, is likely to pave the way for IBM's growth prospects. However, softness in Systems revenues and technology & cloud platforms remain a concern.

Stiff competition does not bode well for the Storage hardware segment. Strategic imperatives will take some more time to report meaningful growth and offset weakness in the traditional business. IBM’s ongoing heavily time-consuming business model transition to cloud is a headwind. Additionally, ballooning debt levels have been troubling IBM over time.

HCL deal is $1.8B in cash. Details here: https://www.digitalcommerce360.com/2018/12/20/why-ibm-is-selling-its-e-commerce-platform-business/

The "other" divestiture that is known of is the marketing cloud remaining assets being sold off to a private equity outfit. But no one knows the value outside of those under NDA, which I am not.

No idea about other divestitures.

Fbux. Patience. IBM is restructuring while spending 34 billion. Ask yourself what happens if the govt stops the Redhat deal. IBM would then have to come up with a completely new strategy. IBM does not multi-task well. This was an all in bet. One disruptive action at a time. Layoffs are coming. Why do I say that? Because the CFO told you on the last earnings call that IBM will exit low margin businesses. Outsourcing, scaleout HW, Storage, IGF, and non-enterprise TSS are in the target zone What do these guys all have in common. Low margin business, and non-strategic going into 2020.

Its definitely the end of March. HCL deal is coming together then also.

Offers for the folks going to HCL come out April-ish. No specific date given. Other RA's planned for this period also. Software Sales is being reorg'd. Its very quiet chaos ATM.
