Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

The safest jobin the Westborough office is the call center

Westborough , MA location continues to be hit with layoffs. I heard Pittsburgh is getting hit as well. The safest jobin the Westborough office is the call center. People post out after doing a year in call center, and end up being laid off a few months later in their new department. Ops teams are being combined so you know the writing is on the wall. It's only a matter of time. They seem to be making it a lot more difficult to work from home, so they will lose a lot of people that way.

Yes absolutely. The westborough call Center is a miserable place to be, though. Job security at the expense of your sanity and health? consider your options carefully before accepting a job in the call center. 2 unit managers literally quit within a week of each other. The call center is a disaster right now. They're scrambling and bringing in Managers from outside departments. I honestly hope that JPMorgan Chase or some other Institution acquires bny Mellon. Truthfully, I wish I would be laid off. I wish they offered voluntary layoffs because I would volunteer to be laid off at this point. The job has destroyed my mental and physical health. I feel bad that I have co-workers who will do anything to keep their jobs and yet here I am wishing I would be laid off. I sincerely hope the rumor about Chase is true. Because then they will be getting rid of redundancies. They really need to look at voluntary layoffs and offering packages to people like me who just want to get the hell out & are willing to be let go.
