Curious whether this movement of jobs to Olathe is an isolated case or is it just to the beginning of a company-wide effort of moving various segments of business under one roof? Are there rumors of any other movement?

It is not over slowdown in Spokane wa.
Coon Rapids site is leased, closing by 2021. Moving jobs to other sites.
Bolingbrook,IL (leased) moving production to Freeport, IL (owned/huge) by the end of the year.
Greer R&O to Phoenix.
Now this is not the end.
It is not even the beginning of the end.
But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Get your resumes updated this will only be the beginning. All the people at the Renton and Wichita facilities will have to apply and interview for their jobs. So if you fall in the Quota of people with too many years and higher pay they can make an excuse to weed you out. This is just a continuation of what they did to Strongsville and the Irving repair shops a few years ago bigger plants will be next.
It's NEVER over. My personal experience over the last 30 years coming from the Allied-Signal era to the current Honeywell company name: Leadership has ALWAYS been buying, selling, moving, consolidating, and offshoring it's companies and employee jobs. It's life in corporate USA.
It's not over. Many sites, In the US snd abroad are being reviewed for reduction in size or move out snd close entirely.
This was started back when DC was at the helm. They even tried gliding Singapore but couldn't find another company to handle all the work that was there.
So no it's not over.
Is it ever?
