I am a Long term employee who was recently involved in an HR issue. I filed complaint against abusive manager. Minimal to no action despite tons of evidence. They failed to follow up despite being provided names and numbers. ZMainly this is to alert any employee AIG is in a free fall. Previously it was a progressive company. HR was a dynamic re who enforced good values. From what I can tell the HR department has been outsourced also. Just like any sub contractor they have to follow orders or be replaced. View this place as a pay check. My friends in the mortgage industry experienced the same attitude in 2007 2008. The company cannibalizes itself. You really cannot expect any more of AIG right now. The atmosphere will not improve for along time. To do so is foolish on our part. Not an easy dance for any employee to make much less us old dogs but do it we must.

Years ago they used to do exit interviews but they don't even do them anymore. They don't want any feedback. It's too bad the way HR is ran. They could have really gained some insight and made improvements in the organization. But they don't care.
HR didn't care about you when u worked there what makes you think they're going to care about you when you don't work there anymore they're useless they're looking to save their own necks they want you out the door as fast as possible so they can go on to rif the next person
HR isn't even helpful for those who are RIF'd.
HR exist to protect the company from their employees. They're not here for you. It's a shame, but that's the reality. You can't count on them.
Very hard to go to HR with an issue. They don't want to hear it and if they do, it backfires.
No surprise here. Good leaders forced out via RIF. HR does not mind lawsuits. Patronage is key and no longer performance and competence driven. C-appy 100 years celebration.
Very hard to discipline HR. They are the worst offenders. Their behavior is shameful. They hide behind privacy rules.u need to prove they broke laws. Their exceedingly unprofessional behavior may just fall short. Need 60 minutes to do an undercover investigation!
I am happy to see this post. It has been to long since other employees took note of the despicable actions by HR towards some employees, not to mention the behavior when it comes to "HR Friends". The "HR Friends" always seem to be very well informed on changes, up coming RIF's, and some even escape the RIF, which makes me sick. I have personally heard and saw HR personal gossip in the cafeteria, and have over heard sensitive conversations conducted by HR in heavy common traffic places other the cafeteria, IE elevators, the lobby in the mornings.
I hope someone makes an example of the HR group so people take notice.
Tape your conversations on your iphone. Hit record button before any 1:1's with drunk. Shell never know. If hr wont address. A lawyer or media will. Phone records very clearly.
That is hilarious. Where does co get these cretins from? It really isnt fun to be subjected to abusive people who should be in solitary and never allowed to supervise a c---roach.
my manager is a disrespectful drunk. Not sure what she has on upper management that allow her to continue in her role.
No tbeir actions wont gey rectified unless there are many class action suits and numerous alerts to media
Agree. My mgr was an arrogant nasty disrespectful disgrace. I knew not to expect any help from hr. In the good old days theyd place you elsewhere if you were in good standing. Previous colleagues quit. Co finally kicked out this nutcase
I’m sure at some point their actions will not be tolerated as more folks are impacted by their lousy management and decisions that have no value to the company. Confidence continues to build.
If HR is not complying, which by law they must to protect the employees rights, and you have a ton of evidence, get yourself an attorney. You'll see how fast they comply then.
It’s deplorable. Literally ostracized by my direct manager and the one before was an outright bully. Its AIGs MO.
