I read these posts and shake my head, and I call BS to them all :)
The sky is fallinaseg, the sky is falling says the chicken, or the boy who cries 'wolf'. First off, about me. I sit out of the Twinsburg Ohio building, been here about 4 yrs, give or take a few months. Will turn 32 this spring, not a kid but not what you people call "talent". So, no raises? Yes, no raises, and likely none for a while. Reason: the company is struggling. We have old technology, we rename this old c-ap to something like SDWAN, and try to sell it to unsuspecting businesses. Most businesses know our reputation and have little interest in our junk. We do not invest in what we have to make it better, instead we buy the same type of old technology companies in hopes of 'capturing' their customer base. TT is not the man to run WIN, we needed someone to bring us into the modern age, not paint over the same old c-ap and try to sell it as new. BUT, it is what it is, TT ain't going nowhere. So, we layoff to help cut costs. In 2018 we eliminated around 360 positions, not bad when you keep in mind we have 11k employees. Those 'let go' where what you people call 'talent, experience, etc. I call then dead weight. People with 20yrs, 30yrs with WIN but stuck in the same old technology bubble. I watched them. Each morning they park their cars in the same places, sit at the same lunch table with the same 'old boys' tell stories of how much better things were when were Alltell or SW Bell, or GTE. Well guess what, we ain't GTE or Alltell no more, we are WIN. So when I hear of all the 'great talent' we have lost I want to barf. These guys may have been 'great' 20yrs ago but they are dead weight these days. I agree that TT has run us into the ground but we need to dig back out. WIN probably will be gone in 5 yrs, but I don't let all the blame fall on TT. People are dropping landline phones in favor of cell phones. Time warner or Spectrum will expand into WIN regions and we will lose even more companies, this is a fact. So when you write about all the 'great talent' we have lost, I call BS. When you write how many jobs were outsourced to some third world sheeet hole country I again call BS. Get a grip people, you need to read the book, 'Who Moved my Cheese'. It's about some mice who always got their cheese from the same spot each day. One day the cheese wasn't there and they didn't know what to do. These mice are an excellent example of you people here at WIN. You are all looking for the cheese that isn't there anymore:)
