According to an RM, one in every ten OMS orders is being zero-picked company wide. As our staffing continues to shrink, expect that number to go up.

Yep zero pick because im sending every possible book back to vendor. Don't have your book yet? Sorry we've had them since November, and are directed to return. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know why we zero pick!
Its bullsh*t, the stores that are proactive and get their adoptions in on time and source used texts early are punished by those stores that don't have their act together. Why is my procurement success stolen by the newbie mgr from some strip mall retail outlet??? This especially hurts with old editions and proforma materials. If there wasn't such an exodus of seasoned mgrs, maybe this wouldn't be an issue. However, you have RMs that have never been in the business hiring people without a clue. Reap what you sow....
Still selling books to our own students, not giving up our books.
I find that figure to be extremely exaggerated! Do they have actual proof or just blowing steam? We fill every possible border we can, if we don't have book or item of course it's zero picked. Orders are sent to us for stock we don't have. Can send what we don't have to..Sorry!!
