Confirmed transport group is no more for the NOC, that's sad. Techs will be transitioned into data and voice groups or let go. Jobs being outsourced to India....b/c that makes sense. This company is going down the c-ap hole with TT riding that wave with a nice sh-- eating grin on his face. Told you all it was coming, management talking everything up like the jobs aren't going anywhere.....lol liars. It's all good b/c they got their's. Trashcan company with c-ap leaders. TT sipping wine and being like "bye Felicia" .

"There are already teams of people working to reduce our footprint in TDM circuits and switches."
Those people left in these groups are in a nightmare everyday in dealing with the circuit records from all the companies they acquired over the years - where they 'tried' to merge all the databases with horrible results because each company had their own different database format. But since these groups won't be deemed as 'important', they too will be outsourced, and the outsourced people will call out a technician at the first sign of a question on a circuit.
The outsourced groups won't think anymore to fix something on their own if it could be, they will just call out, and the circuit mess will then be beyond fixing, whoever buys up the shell of this company will need to just throw it all out and start from scratch if possible. A complete mess compliments of TT and his Zombie Executives that are concerned more with their bonuses.
The transport team like other teams is going to change drastically over the next few years. The discounted wholesale rates we pay and the access we are given by the LEC's is going away in the next year. After February of 2020 we will pay retail rates for DS1, POTS, xDSL, etc. This means that our business as a CLEC IS DEAD. There is no way to compete when the access costs for the last mile are that high. Any existing contracts we have will end over the next 4 years.
What does this mean? We either have to use 5G, Fixed wireless technologies, or Ethernet solution if our customers are not ON-NET.
Along with that those transport jobs that get outsourced will go away over the next few years too. There are already teams of people working to reduce our footprint in TDM circuits and switches. Much of that work correlates with the end of TDM as we know it in 2023. 5G, cable broadband, and others will replace most of our last mile.
Tbag wanted me to remind you this is not a prison. All employees will get a bonus this quarter. A 30 minute box. He also said get back to work. You need to do the work for the RIF'ed employees.
They keep buying companies to pad the book so they show more revenue... Remember when they said we are a Growth Company... so much winning in the WINdstream!!!
If they dont have money for raises then quit paying out quarterly bonuses to the management team.
"69 is telling you the truth. The other option is none of us have a job.
Has anyone realized what would happen if we gave everyone a raise and didn’t let anyone go? You wouldn’t be employed."
If the company had enough revenue flowing in, they could afford to give everyone raises. The raises the executives receive could probably satisfy 30% of the regular work force. Bottom line is the clowns at the top don't have any ideas for more revenue, and they instead cut the workforce - which will also affect the revenue as customer will leave because of the lack of support.
Invest money in your employees (not the clueless executives) and your company will thrive.

Hey investor shut up 69
If the executive team didn’t take the actions of employee reductions you do realize Windstream would be in bankruptcy now?
They’ve taken the correct steps to avoid bankruptcy.
Do you want a Windstream job or not.
Idk if that’s true. However if it is, customers are in trouble.
Get Ready for some heated escalation with no answers.
I say BS.
