Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

People working on Trucks, SUVs safe?

Just wondering if layoffs are program specific. Since GM stopped making small cars, the teams working on those programs are most likely to be axed. Does that mean people from Trucks, SUVs, Crossover teams are safe?

I posted in another thread. I worked in MPG test labs. I was responsible for validating T1XX tires and wheels for government standards. I had great CAP reviews with my EGM. This morning, we even discussed plans for 2019. Later this afternoon, I was walked out.

So no theres no formula to how this is being conducted.

No. GM is being very random and illogical with their layoffs ... I know several people working on the future MST that have been laid off. Active safety was savaged and so were batteries.

No point trying to predict or rationalize.

Hi there, I was fired today. I worked on light duty pick ups and suv in automated driving. There is no logic behind this firing

I know of an integration lead on the T1 that was let go today. Working on truck does not guarantee you're safe.
