Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

You don't need to be a Wall Street expert to spot the trajectory

You don't need to be a Wall Street expert to spot the trajectory.... its the same trajectory as CSC had since Mikey rolled into town - 10% revenue drop every year... quarter to quarter or year on year.

Quite why those geniuses hadn't spotted this before I don't know... his "leadership" is an utter disaster and the "jam tomorrow" promises were never going to happen.

You can't cut costs and increase revenue.... certainly not at the slash and burn rate he's been doing.

CSC was 100,000 employees when he rolled up. It was 35,000 before the DXC merger.

DXC was 176,000 employees in May 2017, its now 120,000.

In his time he has fired over 110,000 people.

I'd be hard pushed to think of a company that has shed so many people in so little time.

It's in free fall with no end in sight other than a sticky one.

Think that @XptWGkf-3uyt is absolutely right about this.

Share price will stay as is or go up.

The announcement is the new acquisitions are f---ed!! That means more cuts, more savings, and analysts just love that.

100% that will happen.

When ML was at IBM, the saying was that you could never get sacked for buying IBM. IBM was in it's heyday, and I suspect a trained monkey could have met sales targets at that time at IBM.

Yes, everything he does is from the IBM playbook. That oh so successful IBM that also is circling the toilet pan.

It won't be anyone internal when he goes. Definitely not. There is no succession plan for a CEO in this sort of company. It will be trash and replace.

And of course when he goes probably L2 and L3 also get the chop too, to be replaced with golfing buddies of the incoming guy.

BTW my bet is still on Mikey getting the boot at the end of Q4 unless he's really lucky. Might even be eyeing that one up right now.

Question; didn’t Mikey start his career in sales at IBM? I guess he does not know how to sell since his tenure at CSC and DXC demonstrates BIG sales declines and the only way he knows how to be a CEO is to cut costs and acquire some small companies. NO ORGANIC GROWTH in sales!!

He su**cks as a salesman and and as leader. Look at who he has hired to lead sales....they are bozo’s who don’t know how to motivate or compensate sales teams. Should be an interesting upcoming analyst meeting with plenty of BS about recent acquisitions to have the analysts continue to believe in the future vs. reality.

BTW; given Mikey’s age and failure; shouldn’t someone ask what the DXC CEO succession plan

is?? Hope it’s not someone internal !!!
