Is there a way to post anonymously on the gov site? I don't know if this is H1B abuse, but two H1B guys from my company (NOT Bank of NY Mellon corp but in telecom industry) were able to move from NJ to Texas (one guy right before layoffs happened to the org in NJ, and another guy who was already notified that he is laidoff) but was able to apply to a job in TX (within the same company) and both got the job in TX working in a different org doing similar jobs. In the mean time there were many people laid off in NJ and TX. If the companies excuse is that they don't have the specific talent or no one with that specific talent applied for the job with 10 days of posting on the internal job posting site except the H1B person, then why doesn't the company train the US Citizen who is getting laid-off for that job. What I see is that HR is working with upper management and Indian/Chinese management to get the H1B person instead of the US Citizen. The company is legally showing it's doing things like posting the job, interviewing some people, and then picking the best talent - which just happens to be the H1B or posting the job description after only knowing the H1B persons talent so they can make it so specific that only the H1B person gets the job. There are plenty of talented US engineers available to do the job with so many layoffs, that they should just get rid of the H1B and F1 program all together.
