No enough capacity for TSMC doing all Intel chips unless sell TMG to TSMC for it to manage TMG ;-) ... and, yes, fire MR & his gang.

This is the best decision. Culture eats strategy for dinner. Intels strategy is sound.

It has perfect mix of commitment, capabilities, understanding and vision in all senior leaders including MR, RK,JK,NS. Intel is not a one man show or one trick pony.

In long and short term, it saves money by not pouring into CEO compensation

He is probably interviewing elsewhere. Don’t see him at the town hall.

Future roadmap products are decoupled from TMG. They will be independent and can go to foundry as needed. Intel still has a great manufacturing base that is valuable. 10nm and 7nm are both on track now.

Intel is not going to get rid of its fabs. The proper move is to dump the current process development and copy Samsung or TSMC technical approach.

Smart decision would be to drop the TMG boat anchor ASAP and go to TSMC superior process. Let's see if the Fat One has got the balls.

Future products are dual track foundry and internal manufacturing. Tsmc has a big customer in Intel already
