Top storage companies of 2018

We are number 4! With the worst year over year growth of the top companies listed except for IBM. Surprised?

Only Allin Shugaart and Stepe Luczko, walking hand-in-hand over the HAMMER threshold, can save Seagate from the clutches of those who are greedy and dumby. Think of the glory of those two, holding hands, like Obama and Biden, teeth glistening, no plaque in the crevices. Outstanding.

I won't ever be taking a micro-survey. I don't want to make my boss cry about only being approved and validated by 87% of responders instead of 94%. I don't want to be in the room when looks around like Scarface high on coke with tears streaming down as he aims to seek out and destroy the traitors in his midst as he carefully studies everyone's expressions looking for a tell or giveaway. Anonymous survey is a joke. Your boss will be like Mueller working non-stop for 6 months trying to find out who colluded with the Russians to submit a negative response. No thanks. Not playing that game ever. Take your micro-survey and shove it up your arse.

No wonder STX is where it is. What a bunch of losers you all are. You make STX what it is. Get out, or get aligned ! Everything else makes you a loser.

That will never happen. Or, until this CEO is removed and a person is brought in to save the company.

It would be good for an exec to stand up and say HDD is going bye bye and STX has no replacement for the rev, no cash for M and A, and too much debt to borrow for a life line.

Well, STX Execs like DM only knows and cares about HDD. They are never passionate about Systems or SSD.

Give credit where credit is due. Seagate shrunk Systems revenue by 40% while Dell grew. You have to really work hard to shrink in a growing market!

Dell grew revenue on systems 71%! WTF is our systems products and group capturing some of that? Wasn't that part of the whole plan laid out a few years ago. We were told WD was dumb and going SSD, while STX was smarter and vertically integrating systems. So, it looks like a huge amount of systems revenue out there and STX isn't competing and executing on it's stated strategy. That's my key take away. The company is 100% dependent on 1 HDD market segment because it has failed. Yet, our executives are regarded as the smartest in the world by some. What a joke.

Because it takes time to find the right job, but I am actively working to get out of here. There's so much downtime that it should not take much longer.

So, why are you still here ?

Takeaway for me is the overall storage revenue growth was 29 percent and Seagate grew only 4 percent. Lagging and will go negative growrh based on what leadership will not talk about and what is talked about by customers publicly
