Did I get this right? There will be major layoffs sometime this week on store level?
In the past several weeks I've read and heard so much about what's going on with Sears and what's going to happen that I am on overload, and I can't tell anymore what was supposed to refer to what (and when.)
Are layoffs happening this week?
Jobs cuts won't happen at the store level till Friday, so they can give you your final check. And tell you to reapply to a different position.
I do think they want to finish any layoffs before the sale. Hopefully they have done them all already.
Lay-offs are inevitable, unfortunately only the people making those decisions can verify if an when they will be announced.
Not knowing what the future holds is very stressful and unsettling for a lot of people.
