Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Great vs mediocre

Great companies focus on building great products.

Mediocre companies focus on improving diversity and gender equity.

When you don’t have a great product strategy, you focus on BS c-ap like diversity.

Steve Jobs and Andy Grove built great products.

BK achieved gender equality.

PSO made the biggest strategic blunder in the history of tech when he refused to terms with Apple over $1 to be in the iPhone. Intel has never recovered. BJ/K then followed and quickly demonstrated that that he was an incompetent sociopath. What is the constant through all of this - Andy B and the incompetent Board; until the Board is turned over, the sh&tshow will continue and no CEO worth his/her salt will take the job and stick around to see things through. Unfortunately there is not someone to come back and right the ship (like jobs coming back to Apple). I bleed Intel blue - but we are f&cked.

@ygq - Apple is not a great company anymore. Under Tim Cook, it is increasingly becoming a mediocre company. Therefore, you've got creeping lack of innovation, rampant thieving of other companies' IP, and increasing virtue signalling and selling of SJW diversity initiatives as company success.

Great companies do both at the same time. Next time, before trying to spin something like this, at least do your research. https://www.apple.com/diversity/
