Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Pc/tc gone

Personnel coordinator and training coordinator are gone February first. There is a broadcast the 31st that all pc/tc will be on to discuss the change. Store managers will meet with them when they get back from ybm. Will be covered by a asm that will have the title of “people manager”. Good luck

What makes you think they wouldn’t tell us all at the same time our jobs are going away?

I just be glad when next Thursday gets here so we will know and stop all these rumors and worrying over our jobs

I haven't found a PC job Description for years now. The new Career Preference still has the jobs as active. The meeting next Thursday is all PC/TC's across the country. They do not terminate like that. My guess is the outsourcing may be beginning. Hiring, Workday, etc.

I pulled people routines today a hour later they are no longer there. 2 months ago personnel coordinator job description is not in job descriptions. There's training coordinator job description, and one that say personnel/ support manager. We also have a mandatory meeting next Thursday, says we will watch part of v the year beginning meeting, and discuss schedules in which we can assist. I'm not convinced. :(

All pc/tc's also meeting in my market Thursday to watch a broadcast together. The person who sent the invitation made it sound like it was going to be a positive experience. Also, store manager said at the morning meeting that he wanted to address some rumors. Said that while there would be some major changes this year it would not really affect anyone's jobs at the store. So, it should be interesting to hear what is said at the pc/tc meeting. Does not sound like they are rounding them all up for a mass termination though.

All I am interested in learning is with this PC/TC job elimination is will they provide a severance package? As they done when they eliminated the invoicing position.

Ok after feb 1st whatever. You’ll see nothing major if anything major will not get announced until then. Sorry we’re arguing over a day.

Points will be reset on February 1st

New hire 2 Points (which means the pc will be very busy hiring people )

associates 5 points

If you miss Friday Saturday or Sunday 2 points

They are weeding the people out that don’t want to come to work

Only the store manager can fix a point

Our store will be one that will be closing at midnight not sure when this starts, maybe 2nd or 3rd quarter. There will be No overnight associates or managers.

As far as PC TC we won’t know it till it happens, just like the co managers. One day you there, next day you not!

If it happens no one should be shocked, this is a place where everyone should share what they know and not be called a troll. So this is what I know and I shared

Feb 1st is meaningless from a “we will know then” standpoint. If any major restructure was occurring then it might start on Feb 1st as it’s the start of the WM year. But those things would already be known.

But it’s not a day where they announce major changes.

People fight on here because some post with honest intent to help with what they believe to be occurring or they have questions about. Other post with honest responses to help.

Then there are the rumor mongers who like to stir c-ap up.

Thus we have conflict!

After Feb 1st if there are any changes they will be known. Sams is going 3 rd party all maintenance for their clubs after feb 1st. Why does everyone fight on this site? If there are trolls on this site they have real issues to even want to be on this site. Get a life.

Go ahead list the examples where WM has announced restructures on Feb 1st.

It’s the 21st of Jan, if it was going to happen on the 1st it would be known already to all involved.

Nobody is “gone” feb 1st.

It's People Partner not People Manager. Get it right lol. Workday is just software like Kronos. Still needs a user. I wouldn't sweat this at all except for them getting rid of PTC at Sam's in those test markets. I think PC/TC still have at least a year or 2 left.

People who doubt this, go to Google. Search" faq for workday rollout." Deal with it people, PC/tc is gone very soon.

Some of us have been around for many years. We know what Feb. 1st is. If you don't know facts, don't speculate. Peoples livelihoods are hanging in the balance here folks. This "rumor" has been floating around for a very long time. Its up to you what you want to believe. Simply stated, who can you trust?

False news.

Some people have no ideal what Feb 1st end means to the company.

It’s not a magical day, it’s the start of the year. They do not make announcements that day. And they don’t announce things the day before that start that day when dealing with peoples job.

Cite a single example of that ever happening at WM...

PCs are not being replaced by salaried managers.

The best cure for Trollitis is to ignore everything they post, and that's what needs to happen here, but it won't. Because the trolls themselves are responding like other readers. The less clever ones give themselves away with the same misspellings, r----ded syntax and generally predictable writing style.

Super sad. Never dreamed this would happen. All I can say is good luck to the ASM who takes over the job. I give them a week and Home Office will realize they made a huge mistake. ASM will never, I repeat never know all the stuff we as PC/TC know. Good luck~!! There are alot of awesome PC/TC associates out there. We know who we are. We are an asset to the company. Fact is we are underappreciated and never told we do a great job. Once again an attempt to get rid of long term associates. Shameful.
