There arent many layoffs so far but a lot of reassignments. Many competitive roles have been removed which in my personal opinion is good as there was a lot of overlap and people tripping over others and competing.
Those staff havent been layed off but in many cases offered opportunities in other similar parts of the org that are expanding. Maybe that will mean a crowded team next year who knows but it's better than having several BU's competing with each other or losing very good staff.
