Just got off CC with MM. There is no structure change for ASM’s or DM’s this year.
Was told don’t believe all the fake news and social media rumors you hear.
There will be new processes and technology released this year.
Theme of the meeting was “Step it up.”
We need to raise the bar and our level of execution from the HO all the way down to the stores this year.
If the company reacted and spoke in a official manner about these rumors it would only encourage more rumors. The point of rumors is to get a reaction after all..
Not sure about a potential new structure but stores that already closed overnight have full overnight crews including ASMs, only thing not staffed is cashiers.
With all these rumors going around why wouldn't the president of the company himself debunk them. We put everything else on the front of the wire. Why wouldn't you put your Walmart family's mind at ease.

Our store Is a 24 hour one, but will be changing to close at 12 am 2nd or 3rd quarter. No overnight associates, so that is 2 Asm not needed for nights.
One of our ASMs was let go this week for poor performance, so with our store being one of the ones closing this means ASMs have to go somewhere the store is not big enough for all to stay. Almost all our older ASMs have already been sent to other store, so most of our ASMs are new.
The new attendance policy will start February 1st

I never said there was no changes coming id--t. I said that the MM called all his store managers and told the to tell asst mgr's that the rumors of Gettysburg ng rid of Asst was not true....sure changes are coming but not that ....troll
Store manager can’t say nothing any way of they do they will get in trouble and our store manager told us there is changes coming but they could not say what it was. So whoever believes no changes are coming are crazy. Wal-Mart is always changing to keep up with everyone
Our MM called my store manager today and told him the rumors are not true and the Asst can stop worrying. He called all of his store managers to let them know
Store Budgets for 2019 are out, show the same expenses for ASMs as last year, in other words no reduction / savings in the ASM payroll planned on budgets.

The MM meeting was positive about the future of the company on E sales and sales in general. Layoffs and major changes not discussed in an effort to not have anything leaked prior to Feb 1st. That is the way any HO meeting goes if you’ve ever been to one. I must admit now that the meeting is over I feel better about our future as a whole. Won’t know my fate until after 2-1. Good luck all.
Markets have calls on different days and times. You saying yours did not have one so no other markets did is silly.
My market did not, other markets in my region did have calls today. My market has one tomorrow.
Why the need to cling onto these rumors after they turned out to be just rumors?
We should be happy that this massive restructure was not announced as some predicted. Might want to enjoy the moment instead of looking for demons everywhere....
Considering there was no MM conference call today I’m going to say this is wrong.
What about overnights closing for some stores based on sales?
