Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Status update PCP test facility second edition!!!!!!!

Day by day it’s getting interesting..... pick a boo doesn’t know where is head and a-- is.... ramping to 12 hrs shift work ...6 days a week thinking that he can produce 40 pumps a day. It’s interesting to see that if you don’t have enough machinist to prep the product then how could you produce 40 in a day. I believe he is next on radar, just like Eric was. But this would be legit decision because he deserves it. Him and his side kick Ram going around calling theses shots don’t make sense. Majority is planning issue, but it’s pick a boo that needs to make things right which I believe in my opinion he doesn’t know squat. Trying to run this facility like pcp starthcona which is another animal. I know a lot people working there is reading this... I personally challenge everyone to step up and voice there opinions and let him know how you feel....least he will do is fire you but on the bright side is you get your package and chance to get fresh start else where. In the end you won’t have with him.... that will put him on spot either to get his sh-- or leave. I know lots us have been there 3 to 15 yrs of service and comfortable with stable pay cheque’s but sooner or later we all have make that decision but let this asssholess screw you up.

I’m want an update. I once work for pcp. Sorry it’s so bad for my brothers there. I didn’t like the bosses. Good workers. Just bad bosses.

If you hate your job and the work environment so much, get a new job. Collect your check while you look and once you get an offer, leave. There’s no sense in waiting for something that may not happen (new company buying out weatherford)

No job is worth being miserable at day in and day out.

I wonder if the bosses of pcp are reading these posts. i wonder if their bosses in houston are reading this. they are probably thinking that we are just a bunch of whiners and we should be happy we have a job. the truth is that we were happy and appreciated our jobs until we felt taken advantage of. i know that i work in the oil patch and to expect ups and downs but this management has not made us feel secure for over five years. they treat us like numbers and run us down. they lie to us. they lay us off and then rehire us. there is no respect from them. i know that our plant will shut down once china is able to supply stuff. many times i thought that i should get another job but then i think that the company will get sold, or the bosses will change, or the patch will pick up and we will be busy or they will shut down and i will get a payout when they lay me off but i now know that won't happen so i just stopped caring. i will collect my check and hope for the best. there is no sense in looking out for the company because the company is not looking out for me. i will clock in and go through the motions, nothing more. so when you wonder why we don't get the numbers you want or care about quality you should know what is motivating us. not you thats for sure. i will keep collecting a check, save money and take overtime as it is given.

i want to get sold to another company but then i think the same bosses will be running our shop and nothing will really change. our managers will just start showing off and try to impress the new company. if we get sold i hope the new owners talk to us shop guys so we can tell them exactly what is going on. all i can hope for is the new owners keeping the bosses around long enough to train the new owners and then the bosses get fired just like they have done to us over the years. that would be karma.

I think we should report our concern to Listen Up. The Director is required to investigate and we could ask that the free man not be included as he is part of the problem. It will take a bunch of us complaining or this won’t go anywhere. We should also contact unifor to see what it would take to get a union or what they can do to help us. This will get Houston’s attention and they will start looking at management.
