I’ve only been with this company for two years. I’m still pretty young . Only 24. Would y’all suggest I start looking around or stick it out . This place can’t continue like this much longer . I’m a CST tech in PA!

They would have to fire our whole department. They know we aren't stupid and anyone with half a brain is looking for a job if you are a tech. Go for it. If you could prove they fired you for having a resume out, you would never have to work again after you won your lawsuit for wrongful termination.
Do you think it is safe to post your resume on monster and indeed or do you think they would fire you if they saw it?
Get out while you are young and sure you are single. Being married with kids is limited and tough to move around.
If you are asking this. You should. Because it shows that you are not comfortable. Do not need other's advice. Make your decision and take accountability for your own judgement.
get a plan , laid off after 18 years , laid off in 2002 but company merged with the same overlords, they will never ever let you retire with whoever is the company by then . It is the current business model. get rid of all older workers unless you are so knowledgeable that they actually need you to help them . this would mean you have multiple certifications, Degrees, Electricians/ HVAC/ wielding/ Telecom/ customer premise/ Fiber/ construction/ splicing / testing / install/ Telcordia standard/ Higher math/ Fluid mechanics / knowledge .... this confuses them because you know how to tell them what is what and it makes them think twice before handing you cardboard box.
Do tell, exactly what FCC license is required to install 5G equipment?
I just got my fiber and advanced fiber splicer certs-company paid for. I suggest you consider something similar. Guys on my crew are getting cisco certs, fcc license, for 5g, etc...start now. The company pays for it. Then you can leave with something more than a unemployment check.
Stick around after they buy Zayyo Fiber residential will be spun off just hope CTL fiber takes upper id--ts with them
Stay until they lay you off. At least you get more money out of them and unemployment while finding a job.
Cross train and shadow engineers and get familiar with fiber. Obviously words of wisdom from someone riding a desk. When you are a CST There is no time for this and the SRO would never let you out of the load to do this anyway. Really.
Get knowlegeable in installing/ maintaining fiber at least. Job shadow with some inside plant engineers. Crosstrain. It's going to be a wild ride as we go through this automation age in the next 10 or 15 years. Position yourself accordingly!
If you got hired you must be a smart guy. Smart enough to figure out there is no future here. All the younger guys here in NC have already left. You will never retire here. As we found out, if you wait to be laid off, then you are competing with all your coworkers for the same jobs. As it is, now you are probably only competing with half of them. Aren't you tired of working at a place where there is no morale, everyone is p-ss-d and everyone wants out? You already know what you should do. Even if it involves a pay cut for piece of mind and less stress.
Get out now just laid off with 13 years
I would go to school on the company's dime.
