Does someone have a list of American Girl stores that will be closing in 2019. Also, if you have a list with stores that have been closed in 2017 and 2018 that'd be great. I am trying to estimate the impact on the worker - disclaimer: I do not work for from Mattel or American Girl, I am doing a research project and I am not affiliated with the enterprises at issue. Middleton distribution to retail vendors will end first quater 2020. Testing of regional production, and shipping has proven sustainable, and cost effective. Midwest distribution is transfering to Deforest.
St. Louis closed last year and Minneapolis and Boston this year as well as the Wilmint distribution center. I left AG after 8 years and the company I now work for in a different industry but with retail presence in grocery chains had a 19 % increase since we took over more real estate. I honestly had t worked had a positive quarter at work since 2013 and it was soo amazing what that does for just your mental wellbeing...
It'll be a short list - I think there is no more than 20 stores in total. Not entirely sure but I think it's a small footprint.
If I had to venture a guess, I'd expect the Nashville TN and Scottsdale AZ stores to close once the leases are up.
The St. Louis store was also closed in 2018.
It’s a shame how Mattel has ruined The American Girl business. Their products used to be of such high quality.

Dont have the full list but two here are two: Mall of America in Bloomington, MN and at Natick Mall in Natick, MA. Both have about 50 employees, I think we have about 20 stores total, so this may be it.
