"Checks should not bounce going into future unless somebody screws up the paperwork."

So basically you can expect things to get messed up, because the leadership at WIN has proved time and time again - if it can be screwed up, then it will be screwed up. Expect some delays because the executives getting their money first is the top priority.

"Debtor-in-possession financing" which Windstream obtained after filing bankruptcy is designed to ensure Windstream has cash to pay its bills through the length of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process (which could drag on for for a year or more.)

Checks should not bounce going into future unless somebody screws up the paperwork.

When you think about it, it's literally possible, likely even, that the specific account in question didn't have enough to cover payroll because of the bonus paid to TT

Can anyone confirm if their checks go through this time? Would prefer not to have to sort through bounced check fees again.

Never a good sign when the company itself is living paycheck to paycheck after excess have taken their money and run.

There are still people who are employees who elect to get paper checks. There is no manditory requirement for direct deposit and they did indeed have checks that bounced. NOT contractors, Windstream employees. It’s been fixed. Friday everyone should be good.

Plenty of contractors and vendors are cut checks. Some of them bounced.

Who doesn’t use direct deposit these days? Honestly....

Windstream only cuts paper checks when you first hire on and are setting up direct deposit, or when you are changing direct deposit. Sometimes for expense checks, but that's not payroll.

So which is it?

No fear mongering. I am an employee receiving a physical paycheck and the one from 02/22/19 bounced. Payroll tells me that the Windstream account was locked/frozen from 02/22 through 02/25. I tried to cash my 02/22 check on 02/22 and received notification from my bank via mail on 03/04 that the check bounced. It will be reissued on 03/08 and I'm trying to get reimbursed the $20 bounced check fee.

I do remember a stream post saying if you had a uncashed check prior to the bk filing to wait until the day one approval before cashing. So I guess it might be possible if someone cashed a check in that small window
