Do most people work because they love what they do and can't wait to get up and go to work? No. They work because they have to provide a roof over their head, food on the table, and if they are lucky save some for the future. The whole corporate culture, for most companies not all, is so patronizingly arrogant that the majority of employees eventually land at having no loyalty to their company. By all means they shouldn't. Gaps in pay and benefits to executives compared with regular working class folks has grown out of control and constant corporate campaigns to serve regular folks Kool-Aid never stops, with the most egregious campaigns aimed at making employees feel guilty for not doing enough. There really isn't much difference between TT and anyone else in the company outside of circumstance and the luck of being in the right place at the right time. The difference is he'll make in a year what you make in 10 or 20 years. And for what? He is in no better position than anyone else to make decisions for Windstream. What has he actually accomplished other than Chapter 11 and the eventual total wipe-out of existing shareholder equity.? Anyone could've accomplished that. People need to work to make a living, but don't kid yourself. You and your relatively paltry salary are expendable.
