Say closure is because of underperforming I'm sure there is another reason.

I don’t work for the company anymore, but I worked in Louisiana for a couple years for Walmart. Its just one store but my experience w the work culture is blah. Nobody wants to work (in general). And the state was stagnant- growth-wise. Company keeps taking the welfare $ w/o any issues. Toxic place to be for quality of life, but not terrible.

Closing the Wal-Mart in Knoxville TN. It is the one located by the University of Tennessee campus.
@1sx...I would think they meant over saturation...too many in close area and taking sales from each other.
Post ID: @XP045ja-tvy What does this mean? " some over situation is a problem."
If you read the article, it states that there are five other Walmarts within eight miles of the Evangeline Thruway location. Obviously, some over situation is a problem.
Thanx for the link
pwx, I stand corrected. It's rare there's actually a corroborating story to be found, but it is there
Ok, here's what's up: if you research these claims on line, you---funny enough---don't find anything to support them. Nay-sayers on here will continue defending their b.s. by claiming these changes are all still under wraps and being kept secret...
Well, there. That's all you need to know, isn't it?
If it's all so secret, how are THEY coming by the information? 'Well, it was a midnight meeting on Sunday, I can't reveal my sources'.. And other assorted blah blah.
Folks, I stand by what I've been saying all along: Believe what you choose to. Me? I need real evidence.

Why, oddly enough, no they do NOT have any supporting evidence!
When is this supposed to close? Do you have a news link to share it?
