Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

The hourly severance

Hourly severance is one weeks pay for every year worked. A weeks pay is calculated based on your average hours worked over a certain amount of time. If your not a long timer making a good amount of money take the pay out and find a better company to work for. I am curious tho about how day stock will work. I see walmart going down QUICK. Just remember you will find a better company to work for and it will better your life as you hear from most people on here after they leave.

For those who are unfamiliar with this, I reposted it from @XHod1cE-1thi

"based on your average hours worked over a certain amount of time"

It's on the 12 weeks prior to termination.

Yes you may draw unemployment. When you file just do so after you receive you severance check. Or when filing use your actual key off date and get the unemployment process started. When you get your check if you are already receiving benefits you will check one of the boxes for the week that ask you if you receive payment. Unemployment will reach out to you and ask you questions. You will then have a break in benefits. The will tell you a date to start up but you will already have a claim. You just call them and all is well. 😳

Will they make you sign an agreement that you won't file for unemployment benefits to get Severance pay?
