Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Nothing Changed !

So far the Board is able to influence only the bottom line ground level staff but I believe real change would take place only when they are able to influence the top line and the middle level management which I do not see happening so far . I have seen a trend in BNY Mellon that they are not very millenial friendly .They have maintained a legacy which is going on for decades and do not change due to Baby Boomer generation being so stubborn. Most of the employees are old and aged and not so innovative as they have not seen the outside world needs of technological advancement. They take pride in their mechanical jobs with no risk appetite . The more the job is mechanical higher would be the risk . They increase more and more check points making the process even more tough to sustain leaving body bags everywhere .

ID: @XH2hSEy ( OP Bruce) - BNY has been extremely millenial focused and millenial friendly to fault. Just because management hasn’t liked your ideas or your work, it is not a reason to blame older workers for your shortcomings.

BNY is very millennial friendly just take a look at all the rising stars at Pershing. It's the managers discretion who they hire and fire. Pershing is geared towards only hiring millennials. So you can transfer.
