Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

No PTO for RIF’d employees?

The FAQ sheet we received says we won’t accrue PTO while on salary continuation whatever that means. We have to show up and work , they’re also taking out benefits, stock, and 401k. How can The not pay us for money we’re earning? In my case it’s about nine days pay. Is this legal? I’m calling the Labor Board tomorrow.

Apparently the id--ts they kept to do the 90 day lay off notices put the FAQs for the ones that got laid off that day in with the ones that got 90 day lay off notices.

TLDR the FAQs don't apply to the 90 day lay off notices

source: HR

just goes to show how much they even care about the entire situation. Especially with how they like to laugh during the "special" sessions.

Go find another gig instead of talking about PTO and Molina policies - you are a useless a***hole like all senior management at Molina.

It’s not fake news. He’s talking about accrual- not actually PTO already earned...which you get on exit...and they can do this. Speaking of exit- drop a load on the way out. This company is a dump

This is fake news. Accrued and Unused PTO pays out per the employee handbook. (It’s also the law in California). Maybe talk to your supervisor or email HR.

My guess is that it’s because PTO is a benefit, companies don’t have to just give it to you, but I would say go ahead and call the Labor Board, they will definitely respond and get you the right answer.
