Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Where is the incentive?

As store managers or directors, where is the incentive to work more, harder, care more?

You cut our staff, you don't give us raises (2% after years without is not a raise and there was no kick back last year to employees even though tbe company got huge tax breaks.)and, you took away our bonus opportunities. Yrs, i am aware there is a bonus plan but it went from up to 50% down to total max 12.5.

The way they set your goals in a declining Market it is almost impossible to get any bonus at all. So, now you make less the new used to.

Fill out your review of follett at https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/follett-higher-education-group-reviews-SRCH_KE0,30.htm. You'll see a collection of employee reviews of follett. You'll see a bunch of shill reviews, too. The company is paying people to post positive reviews. They're pretty easy to spot. They're short, no detail, never negative.

Post your review. Tell your story. If candidates read the reviews and still come on board, you know they can't be trusted and they're likely not too bright.

Shameful to qualify for assistance while working so hard at Follett. Follett doesn't care about the employees that work so diligently to make top dogs wealthy. I work full time there and only brought home $200/wk. Fool I am no longer!!!

Long time SM (over 20 years). Work a minimum of 50 hours a week, most weeks many more. Just found out I qualify for food stamps and low income housing, since my pay is so low.

As incentive they must be offering hire on packages to compensate for low salary wages. New manager of 5 months has already taken three weeks paid vacation , numerous PTO days in addition to "sick"days. It's good to be new hires, but they also will learn that the enticements are not worth the abuse. Also salary means less than 38 hrs / week including rush week!!! It's a new world.

Being devoted, working hard and committed are a thing of the past. Quality managers are jumping ship at an alarming rate. Finally seeing the light. Overworked and underpaid

Follett is NOT the company it was 15 years ago. The family got greedy. The little old ladies screamed for their profits, not realizing the precedent they were creating. The "now" generation of Folletts are lazy millennials that have no clue what work ethic is, they want profit without any skin in the game. Lady and Charles Follett are rolling over in their graves. It's sad. Greed kills work ethic and companies.
