Bring In a Union

What do we have to do to bring in a union. We need a union to protect the rights of the workers. They need to stop treating us like trash and tossing us out after they’ve used and abused us.

The dirty little secret about unions is that their "power" is derived in large part by member acceptance of the use of physical violence against "scabs" willing to move in to do the work. Easy to talk about forming a union to make things better, but unless you are ready and willing to engage in violence to stop replacement workers from taking your job your union idea is a big nothing burger to BNYM.

people don't seem to understand the concept of unions, please google it. it works very well in Europe and the lay off conditions are much better.

Nothing is keeping you in a job, you are employees at will. Management has stated over and over, if you are not happy, please leave. Look on the bright side, PNC is holding job fairs for displaced Bnym employees.

For those over 50, it looks like BNYM is following the trend as per, https://www.aarp.org/work/working-at-50-plus/info-2018/forced-retirement.html?intcmp=WOR-FEED

From the article, "In total, 56 percent of workers over the age of 50 in long-term, full-time positions lost their jobs involuntarily. Among the rest, 16 percent were still working, 19 percent retired voluntarily, and 9 percent left their jobs for personal conditions such as health or caregiving."

You need to form a Union...which is not done in white collar jobs. That is why the are permitted to do what they do in corporate America.

Yeah, go ahead and “strike”. I guess you fail to understand the “at will employment” concept.

um, you must be an id--t, you are an employee at will with no rights. they can hire/fire at any time, for any reason. unions mean nothing to the banking/financial industry.
