Layoffs, No WFH, and Poor Compensation - Moral In The Dumpster

BNYM has reached an all time low. It's bad enough that they cut staff thru their forced ranking process. Next they take away Work From Home. Then when it's compensation time, they stiff their employees. I had to tell my group that the money wasn't there this year. I was they had to send more money to our staff in India to retain the talent there and managers on critical projects were well compensated.

I'm sure Scharf and the Board of Directors won't be taking any compensation cuts. I've never seen such selfishness in this company. Shame on them!!! I have no problem working hard, and putting in the necessary hours to be successful. All I ask is that I get fairly compensated.

The problem with Corporate America is Greed . No body cares for the hardworking employees , if the employees are unhappy and get less facilities and privileges the company is heading for a disaster.. falling like an asteroid... Downward..

Hey maybe Charlie will take your bonus away next. A bonus is a privilege not required. If you worked in the 80s and 90s then those were bonuses. Where were you then, still in middle school or college. You want bonuses work for yourself not corporate America.

Stock market is going to crash. Once it hits all time high...only 1200 points to go then she’s going down. Better be prepped for what’s coming.

BNYM got a huge benefit from the new tax law & spent $800 million on stock buy backs - it’s not like the they didn’t have the money - they just have other plans for it. Employees clearly not valued as an asset no matter what they may (occasionally) day.

No bonus for me or my team this year. They need the money to show increase in revenue by reducing expenses. They can’t grow revenue so they take it from us.

First came the BE for no reason, then came cutting my bonus by 1/3. What a scam to reduce costs! The way I see it, even if I meet expectations next year, they won’t restore my bonus to its previous level. I’ll get thrown a bone, told nice job and wish we had more to give you. If this is company-wide, expect a lot of turnover coming.
