Windstream Loses Legal Case Against Hedge Fund Aurelius, and Now Is Stuck With a Huge Bill
Windstream, a communications company, lost its battle against hedge fund Aurelius Capital. A judge ruled that Windstream did breach a bond covenant in 2015. Windstream must pay Aurelius 310 million.
They’ll get off fine. WS May have more lawsuits but it’s not something on the level of Madoff. Personally-criminally he will be fine. Financially-he will be fine.

They aren't in the clear, there will be many more investigations into this and more. This will get the attention of a lot of 'entities' to sniff around for more wrongdoings.

That below and there is no way in hell we can do another bond offering and get any kind of captital, they already had that trouble a few months ago. It's game over folks. You won't be working for the same company in one years time that I can promise you.
The default ruling could entitle other lenders to demand immediate repayment just as Aurelius has done.

They just sold some pieces of the business maybe they’ll use the proceeds to pay the hedge fund. How does this impact the other bond holders if the judge agrees the original deal was a fraud.
That should mean Win is in default on all the issues before refinancing.
