Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

WIN together my a$$

TT is the absolute worst CEO in the history of telecom...and that includes Duane Ackerman who s---ed. The WIN BoD are also either negligent or clueless, not sure which. Our VPs have ZERO idea what it takes to create a successful work environment. Our sales team have NO idea how to rightsize a solution for a customer, setting the tone for an abysmal customer relationship. Our service delivery team couldn't turn up a clean order if their lives depended upon it. Our NOC won't take responsibility for keeping the 1s and 0s flowing and the equipment functioning. The network optimization and line cost teams seem to enjoy breaking our paying customers and saying who, me? when busted. The silo'd lazy hWIN repair folks have no idea how to troubleshoot service end to end, adding tons of unnecessary cost to the service assurance program. The stubborn "I know everything" hWIN field techs don't understand the idea of putting the customer first, refusing to roll when needed and leaving customers out of service. The hELNK teams that are all to happy to dumb down their own strong performance to do things the WIN way undermine the best WIN had to offer. The extra, so not needed teams like the WCI WFM teams, the planners, the endless analysts that offer zip ROI and the extra layers of management just serve to cut the profit margins. This ruling is just the straw that broke the company's back but the company was crippled from within. # WElosetogether

You forgot to mention the c-apass customer service teams who don't have a clue and just pass off customer issues to other departments to get rid of them. Nothing at Win has worked in the past 5 years and they just got busted playing the shell game.

Glad I took their $$$ and ran when they offered it a couple of years ago.

Legacy company aside, its horrible to go to work every day, bust your hump to take care of the clients, just to be shown that your efforts mean nothing to your leadership. Salaried employees haven't had a raise in years and with the rising cost of insurance, I net less than I did three years ago. I came from one of the purchased companies and until Windstream, I was never ashamed to say who I was employed by.

I honestly still laugh that we purchase Elink and we have some of their management in place.

These are the same people who missed the sale and leaseback clause.

We purchased EarthLink and that’s all anyone needs to know.

CAn I get an EarthLink CD at checkout line.

I agree with the TT being the worst part - but some self delusion regarding ELNK I am afraid. ELNK was losing money as fast as Windstream if not faster prior to the acquisition. The ELNK sites are old and typically not owned and the vast amount of gear is manufacturer discontinued.

The BoD must fire TT and Gunderman immediately and then address the morale issue within the company to have a chance of pulling out of this nose dive.

I have no desire to put forth any effort as I have busted my a-- for years now with zero adjustment in salary. The value of my efforts diminishes with every passing year and every percentage increase in inflation.

In fact, when Windstream purchased ELNK, Windstream employees like myself felt betrayed as we had hope to finally start seeing pay increases. Nope they had to go by yet another company.

So went from 'could not afford the Divy and raises' to 'cannot afford the acquisitions and give raises'. But somehow we can afford bonuses for execs and sales, I wonder if the Sales folks are still going on their Elite Trip?
