Thread regarding Sears layoffs

How will the new Sears operate

A short but a good observation on the way the new company is going to operate and a good view on the challenges that are before the leadership. All and all, I have no reason to be optimistic.

The new Sears can turn to its past for inspiration and reintroduce profitable items that it formerly carried. This product could once again drive profitable sales just like it did in Sears halcyon days!

It will operate just as it always has over these last 10 years or so. A slow motion train wreck.

Floorplans will be 1/3 of what they are now. Less Apparel. Will sell or sublease stores. Sounds like the seritage model, shrink store and lease out excess to 3rd parties. More layoffs no doubt (was there any?)
