Severance pay how much do they pay for each year of service when one is laid off ?

You have to report weekly wether or not you found a new job. Once you do, the sub pay stops. That’s why they can’t call it severance. If it were severance you would keep it all. By using the term sub pay you collect only while not working and it can be at the same time as unemployment is being collected.

What is sub pay? Is that where you are paid on your regular pay day but no longer work for the company? How will they know if you get a new job if you don't tell them?

2 weeks for every year with a 52 week max. However - I heard rumors of it being changed to 26 weeks max soon

It's not severance, it's sub pay, which means if you get another job, even temp or contract, the sub pay stops. 2 weeks for every year.
